What is Spiritual Direction?

A time set aside each month to explore the stirrings of the Divine in any part of your life story. Dedicated time to sit one-on-one with a spiritual companion who will listen without judgment, and hold space for the real you with love and compassion. A companion so you don’t have to face your spiritual journey alone. A time to investigate how, or even if, God is moving within you. A safe place to rediscover your inner light. A time to hear the Divine voice in the quiet place in your soul.

Hi, I’m Chris.

I founded Soul Quiet because I have experienced the power of spiritual direction firsthand, and I want to make that experience available to you. I would be delighted to accompany you on your amazing journey. Click my photo to learn a little more about my experience, life vision, and hopes for you.

Who is Soul Quiet spiritual direction for?

  • Anyone longing to find the Divine in the quiet places of their soul.

  • People searching for a clearer sense of the Divine presence, or curious if God is even there.

  • People healing from harmful images of God, and desiring to encounter the God of love and light and peace and strength.

  • Anyone struggling with spiritual wounds or shame, perhaps curious if God could love the real me.

  • People who find their own experiences of the Divine do not always align with their religious upbringing or current religious affiliation.

  • Those looking for the Divine Spirit in the midst of grief, loss, job change, accomplishment, new love, or any life transition.

  • Young adults separating from a child’s view — or a parent’s view — of God, and looking for their own encounter with the Divine.

  • Anyone who has been marginalized or shamed by religious leaders or communities.

  • Clergy who lack safe spaces to explore hard faith questions.

  • People who have tried harder in their faith, and are curious what it would look like to try a little softer.
